Please treat this as very important, as we are now just 4 months away from two major events for African Weightlifters:

1. 2025 African Senior Championships, Mauritius. 20^th – 28^th April 2025 (4 months)!!
2. 2025 IWF World Youth & Junior Championships, Peru. 30^th April – 5^th May 2025 (4.5 months)! Important Note: The Youth and Junior World Championships will be held together next year!

As per Article 5.5.16 of the IWF Anti-Doping Rules, it is mandatory to submit athlete whereabouts information at least 3 months prior to the start of each event:

Actions Required:

1. Registration of New Athletes in ADAMS:

• Ensure that all athletes who may potentially participate in these 2 events are registered in ADAMS. For those who are not yet registered, it is crucial that they are registered well in advance. To do so, please complete the new athlete registration form with the athlete’s information and send the completed form to the ITA at iwf@ita.sport . A copy of the form is attached for your convenience.
• It is strongly recommended to register the maximum number of athletes before the beginning of the next quarter to avoid last-minute delays or technical issues.
• Once registered, it is crucial for the new athletes to complete their whereabouts information on ADAMS for both the first and second quarters of 2025.

2. Updating First & Second Quarter Whereabouts (January–March & April-June 2025):

• Athletes already registered in the ADAMS system must begin filling in their first-quarter whereabouts immediately and complete it by 31st December 2024!
• Since both events start in April 2025, which falls in the second quarter, it is essential for athletes to complete their second-quarter whereabouts in advance. The second-quarter section is already available for completion, and it is recommended to complete both quarters simultaneously to prevent any omissions.

Timely submission of whereabouts is crucial to ensure compliance with anti-doping regulations and to guarantee athletes’ eligibility for participation in these championships.
