THE WFA Congress Meeting held in Cairo – EGYPT at the Armor House meeting room on Saturday 10th 2016,
Eng. Khaled Mhalhel, WFA president welcomed everybody present. The Egyptian ‎Weightlifting Federation was congratulated on their excellent achievements at the ‎‎2016 Rio Olympic Games. The Tunisian Weightlifting Federation was ‎congratulated with their new executive board and he wished them success.‎

Furthermore the president congratulated Dr Kevin du Plooy on achieving his ‎doctorate in his field of interest as well on his re-election for a further term as ‎president of the South African Weightlifting Federation. Botswana Weightlifting ‎Federation was welcomed to the congress as well. The president also mentioned ‎that Dr Tamas Ajan could not be present since he had to attend another meeting. ‎
